Product Description

Cetearyl Alcohol is a white to off-white waxy mixture of long-chain fatty alcohols (mainly cetyl and stearyl). As a multifunctional ingredient it acts as a nonionic emulsifier, co-emulsifier, emollient and rheology modifier. It builds viscosity and body in oil-in-water emulsions, improves product stability and gives creams and lotions a smooth, non-greasy feel. In hair care it conditions fibers and enhances detangling and feel. It is widely used across personal care, pharmaceutical topical formulations and as a processing aid in industrial applications.
