It can be used as a solvent for macromolecular substances such as lipid, rosin, chlorides rubber, neoprene, nitro-cotton, ethyl cellulose, and alkyd. Additionally, it can serve as a solvent for metal and furnishing spray-paint, brush-paint, printing ink, and print-paint.
