In the method, ammonia gas is used as a carrier and silica gel is used as a catalyst, so that urea is boiled and reacted at a temperature of 380-400 DEG C, decomposed to generate cyanic acid, and then further condensed to generate melamine.
At present, the production of urea at the supply side has declined. Some enterprises have overhauled their installations and tightened the supply side. The operating rate is about 70%, and the daily output is about 150,000 tons.
